Persimmon - kaki

Sweet and honey-like, kaki (persimmon) has smooth orange skin and soft, juicy flesh - a seasonal delicacy enjoyed fresh or in desserts.

  • OCTOBER - MARCH

    • Room temperature (20–25 °C) | 3–5 days (ripe)

    • Refrigerated (0–5 °C, whole) | 2–3 weeks

    • Refrigerated (0–5 °C, cut) | 2–3 days

    • Ripen at room temp until soft. Refrigerate ripe fruits, and keep cut pieces covered to prevent drying.
